As a professional trainer, I bring extensive knowledge in intercultural communication, conflict resolution, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), as well as insights from reconciliation work to help create equitable learning experiences for all learners. Every learner comes with a unique background, and as a trainer, teacher, or facilitator, it is essential to recognize and respond to those individual needs to enable meaningful learning. My expertise in intercultural understanding is one of my greatest assets in my professional practice.
Skilled in Facilitating Dialogues
With a focus on diversity and inclusion, I provide intercultural consultations to support educators in creating inclusive learning environments. By fostering cross-cultural understanding and communication, I help promote a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all learners. I also have offered workshops on supporting
2SLGBTQI+ folks.
I have delivered many sessions to employees and leadership in developing their intercultural communication skills.
IDI (Intercultural Development Inventory) Consultation
As a qualified IDI Qualified Administrator (QA), I conduct IDI assessments and reflective debriefs for individuals and groups. Through the IDI process, participants complete a self-assessment of their intercultural development, followed by a structured debrief session where I guide them in exploring their intercultural mindset, identifying biases, and developing actionable strategies for growth. I have conducted over 80 IDI debriefs, creating supportive spaces that foster meaningful reflection and intercultural learning. Many of these sessions were conducted with individuals in leadership roles across various institutions. I was able to support their growth as leaders within an intercultural context.
